Provisioning Interface (PI) Statistics Generation and Its Activation/Deactivation During Run Time (Doc ID 1436071.1)

Last updated on JULY 22, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 and later
Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document describes the procedure to activate/deactivate Provisioning Interface (PI) statistics (command success/failure and latency) for a PI interface port during run time, as the PI User's and Technical Guide documentation does not clearly state how to do this for the three different types of PI input command modes:

  1. Standard
  2. XML (Extensible Markup Language)
  3. SOAP (originally defined as Simple Object Access Protocol)

Each mode has its own input command format to switch PI statistics on and off for a particular PI port.  All statistical output is written to the PImanager.log and is in the same format.  See the Viewing Statistics section below.

Please refer to Provisioning Interface User's and Technical Guide for further information about PI statistics generation (search: logstats).  Please refer to Note 1341844.1 to know more about downloading Oracle Communications Network Charging Control (OCNCC) and Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C) documentation.
