Oracle Communications Messaging Exchange Server 7u4-20.01 64bit (built Nov 21 2010)
I'm planning an upgrade of our primary message store from patch 7u4 patch 137204-20 to 137204-24 to apply the the various IMAPD bug fixes. We have a somewhat large store, having approximately 300,000 mailboxes. I am looking for confirmation of best practice with respect to this upgrade.
I am tentatively planning the following process and would like your advice if this is proper:
1 - halt lmtp delivery and disable POP3/IMAP/HTTP access to mailboxes
2 - run stored -r
3 - stop messaging server
4 - apply patch (patchadd)
5 - start messaging server
6 - restore lmtp delivery and user mailbox access
Is the above set of steps the correct way to go about this?
