Symptoms

Outlook Connector (OC) with patch 139162-14 (version 7.3-119).

I am testing patch 14 of OC and everything is working, except Global Address List (GAL) access.  OC is failing to BIND to the directory server and it looks like it is not even presenting a certificate for authentication.  It looks like it is trying to BIND with username/password except the password is blank (of course because password is disabled and never entered).

The following errors were noted in the sjoc.log file for OC:

02/15/2012 17:20:01.017 (0x13a4) {Gal   } [Error  ]: XLdap::login Bind (type=2) cn=john.doe,ou=people,o=Company X,c=US failed with 0x30
02/15/2012 17:20:01.017 (0x13a4) {Gal   } [Error  ]: XLdap::login ldap error : binds with a dn require a password

If the patch is reverted back to the -13 version (7.3-118), all works fine, so it does not appear to be an LDAP issue.

Changes

Upgraded from using patch 139162-13 to 139162-14 when the problem was noticed.
