Information in this document applies to any platform.
On : Instant Messaging 8.0 version, (before patch 139893-03).
We see an increase of network connections which are not closed but in the CLOSE_WAIT state. The expectation is that network connections should be closed when session is finished.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Install IM8u2 (139893-02).
- Make sure watchdog is enabled (which is default), check iim.conf file.
- Just start the Instant Messaging server and wait.
This issue has no direct impact but servers might exceed the resource limitation.
