Invitees To An Instance Of A Recurring Event Cannot See The Event In Outlook Connector
(Doc ID 1441214.1)
Last updated on AUGUST 20, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Connector for Microsoft Outlook - Version 7.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Invitees to an instance of a recurring event, cannot see the event in OC
Steps to reproduce :
3 users using Outlook Connector.
- UserA invites UserB for a recurring event, for example starting on Monday from 10AM to 11AM, recurring daily, for 5 times.
After the creation on this recurring event, the event appears properly in both calendars in Outlook Connector. - UserA modifies the third instance (Wednesday) and adds another invitee, UserC. Mail notifications are sent and the Wednesday event gets updated in the calendar of UserA and UserB - this can be checked by opening this event and you can see UserC is also invited.
- But when UserC opens his calendar in Outlook Connector, he cannot see the Wednesday event. If UserC opens Convergence, the event is visible.
- When UserC reads the notification mail that was sent, then a new event gets added, on Wednesday. But, since UserB is also invited to this event, the event also gets created in the calendar of UserB, so there are even 2 events on Wednesday for UserB.
