Commadmin Command Returns "Admin Account Password Has Expired"

Symptoms


LDAP bind attempts, as admin account, returns err=49 -- password expired.

Example:

[29/Mar/2012:16:28:13 -0700] conn=501 op=12 msgId=13 - BIND dn="uid=daAdmin,ou=people,o=mail.domain.com,dc=domain,dc=com" method=128 version=2
[29/Mar/2012:16:28:13 -0700] conn=501 op=12 msgId=13 - RESULT err=49 tag=97 nentries=0 etime=0, password expired!

Changes

Password expiration policy configured in the Directory Server has reached the maxPwdage value.

In one particular example, that value was 15552000 or 180 days.  All of the admin accounts were setup six months earlier, when the system had been installed.
