A Java NullPointerException is Thrown when Opening Voucher Ranges Screen on a Rolled Back NCC 4.4.1 Upgrade (Doc ID 1446905.1)

When rolling back a Network Charging and Control (NCC) 4.4.1 upgrade, in the Service Management System Screens (SMS screens), under :

Services -> ChargingMax -> Voucher Management


When navigating to the "Voucher Ranges" tab :

A nullPointerException is reported in the java console :

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-2" java.lang.NullPointerException
at java.lang.String.<init>(Unknown Source)
at com.eservglobal.ccs.VoucherRangesPanel.populateTable(
at com.eservglobal.ccs.VoucherRangesPanel.populateTable(
at com.eservglobal.ccs.ServiceProviderTabScreen.doPopulateTable(
at com.eservglobal.ccs.BaseTabScreen.processSelectedTab(
at com.eservglobal.ccs.G8BaseTabFrame.stateChanged(

and when opening the screen and the Voucher Batch drop down list isn't populated :

In such a case, the "Voucher Ranges" screen isn't usable any more as no voucher batches are selectable in the drop down box.


A recent rollback to the previous version of an upgrade of Network Charging and Control to version 4.4.1
