Symptoms

After attempting to start the P6 deployment under WebLogic, the following error occurs when a user attempts to open the login page.

Error 404--Not Found

The log file of the P6 managed server will show:

Caused By: java.lang.NullPointerException

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Log into the WebLogic admin server console.
2. Click Lock and Edit.
3. Click Deployments.
4. Click the P6 managed server name.
5. Select the Control tab.
6. Select P6 and choose Start.
