Error 'The supplied database user is not appropriate for the action you are trying to accomplish' When Attempting to Connect to an Existing Database in the P6 EPPM Configuration Wizard (Doc ID 1447791.1)

Symptoms

When running the P6 EPPM Configuration Wizard that launches after installation of the P6 EPPM application (or launching it via <P6 EPPM home>\p6\eppmconfig.cmd / .sh), attempting to establish connection to the database by choosing the option Connect to an existing P6 EPPM <version> database, entering the public username (default pubuser) and password and clicking Next, the following error occurs:

The supplied database user is not appropriate for the action you are trying to accomplish.

This issue can be duplicated at will by using the following steps:

1. Browse to the P6 Web home directory (by default, /P6EPPM_1/p6).
2. Launch the eppmconfig.cmd (/ .sh) script.
3. At the Welcome screen, select Next.
4. At the Database Configuration screen, select the option Connect to an existing P6 EPPM <version> database.
5. Enter the appropriate connection details using the public username (default pubuser) and password, and click Next.
6. Observe the reported error.
