In Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management (PFT) 5.6, you are trying to run a batch that executes more than 100 Allocation tasks in parallel.  While the majority of Allocations finish successfully, random Allocations in the batch fail.  Some failed tasks have a status of "failed" while others have a status of "ongoing".

The "failed" tasks do not create log files in $FIC_DB_HOME/log/FusionApps.

If you execute these tasks in sequence using the "Sequential" option instead of in parallel, all Allocations complete successfully.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to Administration > Simplified Batch
  2. Create a new Simplified Batch
  3. Set Batch Execution Type = "Parallel"
  4. Add over 100 different Allocations to the Batch
  5. Run the Batch

While many Tasks finish successfully, random tasks fail.
