The problem described in this document happens as the system is upgraded to the Oracle Communication Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) version 188.8.131.52.0. It impacts the Charging Control Services (CCS) Balance Cascade Override Feature Node (FN).
It is used to specify a balance cascade to override the balance cascade that otherwise would have been used for the next charging action.
For more information about that node, please consult the NCC CCS Feature Nodes User's Guide. To download NCC documentation, please browse

When this problem is hit :
- the Balance Cascade Override node (or bct node) fails to correctly select the overriding Balance Cascade as determined by the node configuration and the call context. It exits by the first "Unsupported" branch :
- the system generates specific error messages in the slee_acs log
This problem may happen for users who have recently upgraded to NCC version 184.108.40.206.0.
