Alarm Log Broken
(Doc ID 1455122.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 14, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Communications SAFfire - Version 3.1.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
We were unable to retrieve alarm notifications from the log on one of the chassis.
Further investigation shows that saLogAlarm.cfg file as well as saLogAlarm logs were not present in the /tmp/ directory.
The following errors was logged in the srp_trace.txt:
fastpatch1.cfg.lmp.381 was present in /tmp directory at the time of the failure but it seems wrong that it has affected the NTF service functionality. Removing all files that had *cfg* in the name allowed srp to successfully start the NTF service. If this issue cannot be resolved immediately, can we make srp use some other directory instead of /tmp for temporary files?
