Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) Infrastructure 7.2, if you try to upload data from an Excel spreadsheet using an *.xls file whose name does not match the name of the file used when creating the Excel-Entity Mapping, the upload fails.  The following error appears:

[13863] Please select the proper Excel file and the corresponding Mapping

For example, you create the Excel-Entity Mapping using a file called STG_ADJ.xls.  Then, you go to Excel Utilities > Excel Upload, select the Mapping you created previously, and select an Excel File named TEST.xls.  This file fails to load.

Note: If you do not get the error message, you may get the following script error instead:

Char: 2
Error: Syntax error
Code: 0

You expect to be able to load data from an Excel file whose name is different from the file used to create the Excel-Entity Mapping.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to Unified Metadata Manager > Data Entry Forms and Queries > Excel Upload
  2. Go to Excel Utilities > Excel-Entity Mappings and create a Mapping using FILE1.xls
  3. Go to Excel Utilities > Excel Upload
  4. Select the Mapping created in Step 2 and select Excel FILE2.xls

The upload fails.
