Payment Center GUI Search Gives java.lang.NullPointerException

Symptoms
Payment Center GUI is not giving the proper results when we search on different criteria.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Using Check batch payment, posted a payment for 5 non existing accounts.
2. So these payments went for the suspense account
3. Now, from Payment Center, tried searching using the dates.
- It is saying 0 rows found
4. Searched using the transaction ID.
- It is saying 0 rows found
For both scenarios (Point 3 & 4), we see the following error in javapcm.logs after the STEP_SEARCH output:
