Goal

A question was recently raised as to whether the NCC (Network Charging and Control) Charging Control Services (CCS) "Billable Event" node, configured in the Control Plan Editor, can be changed to read in a decimal value instead of the a hex value when a profile is used in the "Number of Events" section.

As this is the way the "Billable Event" node is designed to work a request was made to Product Management about this query.  They responded that the next major NCC software release (version 5.0.0.0.0 or Intrepid releases) is planning to provide a new "Named Event" node that will support decimal values.  This will supersede the "Billable Event" node, which will be deprecated at this stage.

For more information about Billable Events please refer to the NCC Rating Management User's Guide and the CCS Feature Nodes User's Guide (search on Billable Events).  Refer to Note 1341844.1 to find out about downloading the NCC documentation.
