Error "Invalid Database Instance" When Running a P6 Web Services or P6 Integration API Application (Doc ID 1459955.1)

Symptoms

One of the following errors occur when attempting to login through Web Services or the Integration API.

    * Invalid database instance. The database is not setup to use the authentication mode selected: NATIVE:LDAP
    * Invalid database instance. The database is not setup to use the authentication mode selected: WebSSO:LDAP
    * Invalid database instance. The database is not setup to use the authentication mode selected: LDAP:Native
    * Invalid database instance. The database is not setup to use the authentication mode selected: WebSSO:Native
    * Invalid database instance. The database is not setup to use the authentication mode selected: LDAP:WebSSO
    * Invalid database instance. The database is not setup to use the authentication mode selected: NATIVE:WebSSO

The error first identifies the Login Mode, which is the Authentication schema used by the Integration API or Web Services.  Second it identifies the Authentication Mode, which is the Authentication schema used by the database instance. The format is "Invalid database instance. The database is not setup to use the authentication mode selected: <LOGIN MODE>:<AUTHENTICATION MODE>"
