Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)
In Oracle Financial Services Profitability Management (PFT) 5.2, you are running an Allocation that uses an Expression to perform a calculation (ex. Transfer Charge Credit calculation). The calculation is designed to return a value of zero if certain criteria are not met. However, the Allocation is not outputting 0 to the instrument or transaction table column. Instead, the column remains NULL.
For example, you define an Expression with the following:
If the Expression result is "0", the instrument table is not updated with 0 but is left as NULL.
The column is updated correctly when the calculation returns a non-zero value.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Go to Master Maintenance > Expressions
- Create a new Expression with a calculation that can return 0
- Go to Profitability Management
- Go to Rule Specification > Allocation Specification
- Create a new Static Driver allocation that uses the Expression
If the Expression is supposed to return a 0 value, it returns a null instead.
