SCO Receiving Calendar Ignored In Constrained Plan Without Detailed Scheduling ASCP Plan (Doc ID 1464424.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.1.3 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Users were originally on code line with one off for SCO, but they have moved up to code line with no one offs at this time.  The problem occurred on both code lines.  Users are running an EDD Constrained Without Detailed Scheduling ASCP plan.  They are using the 64 bit Linux MSONWL64.exe 120.3.12010000.182 with no one offs at this time.  They also have msopmmd2.lcc 120.136.12010000.203 .  They have defined a Receiving Calendar for their organization.  However in looking at the plan output for the item/org for an item, they see the Receiving Calendar is not honored when planned orders are generated.  Example from internal test case:

 Item name = JMBuy
 Org Code = PRD:M1
 Org Receiving Calendar = PRD:M1_Receiving

The receiving calendar is setup to have days off for the whole week of 15-APR-2012 through 21-APR-2012.  We verified the calendar is collected and extended properly.  However there's a planned order for the item with Sugg Dock Date = 18-APR-2012 which is clearly an off day in this receiving calendar

Things we checked/tried:

A.  Profile Settings:

MSC: Use Shipping/Receiving Calendar = Yes
MSO: Enable Decision Rules = Yes
MSO: Use Shift Definitions When Scheduling Lead Times = No

B.  I had them run a constrained classic EDD plan on code line before they went to and they didn't see this problem.  However after going up to code line, they see this problem with Classic Constrained plan as well.  The problem remains even after upgrading to VCP/ASCP code line

C.  Problem occurs for customer in daily and weekly buckets.  Support internal test cast did show a problem with weekly bucket, but could not create the problem in daily buckets

D.  Customer buys all parts from outside 3rd party suppliers so all buy items

E.  Set the following ASCP instance profiles:

MSO: Use SCO Time Aggregation = Yes (Was No)
MSO: Optimization Daily Aggregation Buckets = 60 (Was NULL)
MSO: Optimization Weekly Aggregation Buckets = 24 (Was NULL)

However rerun of the plan still shows sugg dock date on 25-NOV-2011

F.  I found an issue where profile MSO: Avoid non working days for Buy/Transfer order dates = No was a problem.  I had customer set this to Yes and it didn't help

G.  We can see the Receiving Calendar in the ASCP workbench after the plan run and there are no calendar exception messages generated.

1. Define Org Receiving Calendar
2. Collect Data
3. Run EDD constrained without detailed scheduling
4. Find planned orders are not honoring the Receiving Calendar when checking Sugg Dock Date

Upgraded to code line and issue remains even after upgrading to VCP/ASCP code line
