Manual Allocation of Field Activities Incorrectly Causes Warning Message If Allocated Shift Has A Higher Number Of Skills Than Required (Doc ID 1469199.1)

Last updated on MARCH 24, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management - Version 2.0.1.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management (MWM) is displaying an invalid error stating, “The Shift does not have all the capabilities as the ones defined on the Activity Type" during manual allocation under the following conditions :

- If the Activity requires 1 mobile worker and the shift has 2
- If the Activity requires occurrences of certain skills and the shift exceeds that requirement

It is expected that if a Shift holds more resources than required for an assignment, that the Scheduler and manual allocation of work would be valid.  The automatic Scheduling process and manual allocation of Activities to a Shift that holds more resources than required should see these Shifts as valid possibilities for scheduling.
