Symptoms

**Examples provided in this article do not represent real life personal/confidential information**

**Disclaimer:** This KM article may include the following abbreviations:

CCB - Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing
OUAF/FW - Oracle Utilities Framework
MR - Meter Read
ETM/ETPM - Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management
FA - Field Activity

When a field activity is generated from a meter reader remark, the field activity comments are populated with the MR ID and the MR Remark (CIPMCFAX).

Currently some of the meter reader remarks are two characters and some are three, if a longer meter reader remark processed before a shorter one, the longer remark's character will be carraried to the shorter one.
Such as "LAM" and "MO". If a meter reader remark of "LAM" is processed before a meter reader remark of "MO", the "M" from "LAM" is populated in the FA comments and make the "MO"'s FA comments changed to
"MOM".

From log file, found that original READER-REM-CD is "MO", after passing by CIPMCFAX, value inserted into DESCR254, then value changed from "MO" to "MOM", which is shown in FA comments.
