ccsWalletExpiry Leaves Zero-Length Files After Each Run (Doc ID 1477135.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 08, 2012

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)

Symptoms

On NCC (Network Charging and Control) 4.3.0.0 up to 5.0.0.0, each time the ccsWalletExpiry runs on the SMS (System Management Server), it leaves behind a zero-length file.

The ccsWalletExpiry process is used to move Wallets into Terminated states and/or removed terminated Wallets and subsequently the entire subscriber profile.

By default, the ccsWalletExpiry is scheduled to run every 10 minutes from the ccs_oper crontab:

Changes

A version of NCC between 4.3.0.0 and 5.0.0.0 was installed.
