Last updated on SEPTEMBER 02, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Provide a procedure to stop Network Charging and Control (NCC) processes on a two node, scalable, clustered SMS (Service Management System) so that the RAC (Real Application Cluster) Oracle database can be stopped and archive log mode enabled, before bringing the NCC SMS services back up.

WARNING:

The following procedure is generic in form and must be adapted to each specific Customer platform and environment.  It is provided as an example of the required steps needed so that database maintenance tasks may be performed on a clustered SMS with RAC database.  No guarantee is given that all necessary steps are provided.  The example commands and output shown may be different on your systems and are only provided as a guide.
