Primavera Portfolio Management Not Sending Email Alerts (Doc ID 1480020.1)

Symptoms

Alerts and "Send Page" options are not sending emails to the recipients. Instead, the email is held within the C:\Inetpub\mailroot\Pickup folder
When Alerts are triggered or the "Send Page" option is selected, and email should be sent to the recipients at that time.
