ALM Process Fails with 'Error While Loading Shared Libraries: libjvm.so' (Doc ID 1486386.1)

Last updated on MAY 17, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Financial Services Asset Liability Management - Version 6.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA)

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Asset Liability Management (ALM), ALM processes fail to run.  When you try to execute the "ofsrm" executable directly on the server using a command line, the following error appears:

./ofsrm: error while loading shared libraries: libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

This prevents users from running ALM processes and getting output.

If you run the command "ldd ofsrm", you see libjvm.so is not found:

libjvm.so => not found
