Assuming a scenario where there are LERG records containing an ‘A’ record and it also has corresponding thousand block records in LERG6. In this scenario, if the switch (Network Location) of the ‘A’ record (E.g.: SLKCUTMADS1) is different from that of the switch of the last record of the thousand block (E.g.: WVCYUTBXDS0), the CLLI code detail (first 8 byte of the switch is taken E.g.: WVCYUTBX) of the last record of the thousand block is updated as the ‘Exchange Area’ (In this example, it is changed to WVCYUTBX from SLKCUTMA) in the Telephone Number Prefixes window.
