Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In an IN mediation solution the OCSC should create SCCP calling and called party address.

Because Route on GT is used, the configuration is done in Local GTs and Remote Fixed GTs tables. The SCP requires setting Address indicator bit 8 for SCCP Calling and called party Address based on ITU-T Q.713 Specifications of Signalling System No. 7 -–Signalling Connection Control Part (SCCP). Bit 8 of the address indicator octet is reserved for national use and is always set to zero on an international network.

However there is no configuration in SIGTRAN->SCCP->Local GT's to change it for the SCCP Calling Party Address.

The SIGTRAN->SCCP->General->Network Indicator configuration could be used to change this parameter but it also affects the MTP3 layer Network Indicator, which should remain 2 (National).

There is a need to configure SCCP Calling and Called Party address for Initial DP Outgoing message toward SCP (OCNCC), by to set this bit for SCCP Called Party address by OCSC configuration SSU SIGTRAN->SCCP->Remote Fixed GT's-> Network Indicator.
