Error: "Internet Explorer cannot download saveFile from ...SERVER." When Attempting To Run A Report Connecting To P6 Using An HTTPS (SSL) URL

When attempting to run a report in P6, connected to P6 using an SSL URL (HTTPS), the following error occurs:
Internet Explorer cannot download saveFile from ...SERVER.
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet Site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.
Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Launch IE
2. Log in P6 Web with HTTPS URL
3. Open the report tab and access a report
4. Execute the report for saving it in a pdf file
