Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.4.0.0.0 to 7.5.0.0.0 [Release 7.4.0 to 7.5.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
BRM has READ_WRITE, READ and WRITE transaction types.
Questions:
1. READ_ONLY is meant to preserve the integrity of the object while it is read so that no one can modify it and change the value. However, it won’t change the value either. You could equally open using READ_WRITE.
2. If the above is correct, if READ and READ_WRITE transactions being opened at the same time and access the same object, can the READ_WRITE still commit? and how the READ transaction would know about the object being commited by READ_WRITE transaction?
3. Is there any disadvantage of using READ_WRITE transaction only in order to access BRM object?
