Delegated Administrator 6.4, Rejects Valid Characters For Email Address
Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Communications Delegated Administrator - Version 6.4 to 6.4 [Release 6.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
When using the Delegated Administrator web interface to create or modify a user entry, and keying in the email address, the Delegated Administrator accepts only the following characters:
a-Z, A-Z, 0-9, '-', '_'
If we set the email address to contain other characters in the local part (local@domain), such as '!' or '#' (which are valid according to RFC 2822), and try to save changes, the Delegated Administrator rejects this with the following error:
"Cannot create user - invalid email address".
This issue also affects the Delegated Administrator command-line interface (commadmin).
