LSH 2.2: "You Have Encountered An Unexpected Error" with Various Navigation Paths inside LSH (Doc ID 1505480.1)

Symptoms

LSH 2.2, you receive the following error message:

"You have encountered unexpected error. Please contact system administrator for assistance"

 

o You get this error message when trying to update the table process type
o You get this error message also when changing the Table Instance attribute 'Blinding Flag' from 'No' to 'Yes'
o When FND Diagnostics are turned on, the same steps work and there is no error message.
o You may also see this behavior if you Delete LSH Column
Unchecked, and checked out table instance



Steps to Reproduce
=================
1. Create Domain, AA, WA then create a table instance.
2. When the Table Instance is Initially created, it defaults to “Staging with Audit”.
3. Navigate to table instance and click update in order to change the Process Type of the table instance from “Staging with Audit” to “Staging without Audit”, Or “Transaction without audit” or Transactional High throughput”.
4. After hitting apply, users get:

"You have encountered unexpected error. Please contact system administrator for assistance"

NOTE: this same navigation path WORKS successfully if users have on Diagnostics (FND Diagnostics).
