IPSA not discovering new channelised serial interfaces on Cisco 12000 devices (Doc ID 1508401.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 27, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Communications IP Service Activator - Version 5.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On some devices that have a certain IOS, it seems some of the channelised serial interfaces are not being discovered correctly. It seems that the order in which they occur in the MIB affects IPSA, not simply the mapping in the ifStackStatus table, even though the interface is present in the device MIB. The customer has stated that on some devices they have reloaded and the problem has been solved. However from the snmpcaptures we cannot see any obvious mib corruption. In some cases the problem persisted even after a device reload.
