Imapd Processes Hung, Store Restarting, IMAP Unresponsive, While Deleting Users (Orphans) or Rehostuser (Doc ID 1508642.1)

All imapd processes are at maxthreads. IMAP server is not responding.

If msprobe is running normally (in this case they were running it with -n), then it would automatically restart and therefore the symptom would be that the store is restarting.

In another instance, mboxutil -r was being used to move users between partitions (but not change the userid or folder names) and it caused a similar hang and transaction log file accumulation (like in Doc ID 1493480.1).



Start running a script to remove orphaned accounts.

The list of orphaned accounts is created by an imsched job that does mboxutil -o out to a file.

Today they ran mboxutil -d -f <file>

OR running several jobs of mboxutil -r user/<USERID>/INBOX user/<USERID>/INBOX <new-partition>

Using same <USERID> for both source and target.

OR running several rehostuser jobs moving users to other systems.
