Error 'Error in Set the administrative user name and password' While Creating a New Database Using the P6 EPPM Database Setup Wizard (Doc ID 1512119.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to use the dbsetup.bat (/.sh) tool to install a new EPPM database in an Oracle schema, the following error occurs.

Error in Set the administrative user name and password : InvocationTargetException (java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException)
Caused by: com.primavera.database.tools.dbmt.SuperuserNotFound: No superuser (user with a profile where the superuser_flag = "Y") found

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Launch the Database Setup Wizard
  2. Select the option to install a new P6 EPPM database, provide the required connection information, and continue with the process.
  3. At the Creating remaining database objects (e.g.constraints and indexes) step, observe the reported error.
