Open Services Development (OSD) AccountRecharge Notification Always Triggers the Same Notification Template (Doc ID 1512925.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 18, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.4.1 to 4.4.1 [Release 4.4]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a Wallet recharge is performed via the Provisioning Interface (PI) (e.g. CCSCD3=RCH), the Vouchers & Wallets Server (VWS) triggers an Open Services Development (OSD) notification that uses the ACS.AccountRecharge notification template.

It always triggers the same notification template, regardless of which balance type is actually being recharged.

In the ACS variable part configuration, it is made mandatory to select which balance type should be used to substitute specific variable parts. This means that the template can be configured to work for one specific balance type (e.g. General Cash), but then if the user recharges a different balance type, the variable part substitution fails because the configured balance type in the variable part doesn't match the balance type in the request.

Before OCNCC 4.4.1, this problem was not there because the template was non-specific about the balance type. The template just had a "$3" variable which was replaced with whatever balance type text was being passed in.
