(Doc ID 1516524.1)
Last updated on JULY 01, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 7.0.0 to 7.0.4 [Release 7.0.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The imapd processes are making many more connections to the LDAP service than before. It used to be around 200 connections from each back-end message store system to the Directory service. Now it is more like 2000.
The response time for the IMAP LOGIN command is terrible - over 20 seconds, where it used to be only milliseconds. Other IMAP commands continue to work fine after authentication completes.
The number of LDAP connections from the MMP systems has also increased.
Changes
This began around the same time as a new version of software was pushed out to clients.
