Demand Due Date From Source Forecast MDS Does Not Match Due Date In ASCP Plan Output In Weekly/Period Buckets (Doc ID 1517283.1)

Last updated on MARCH 23, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On 12.1.3 Memory Based Planner in All instances

Users are running an unconstrained plan and have run into the following issue in regards to weekly and period buckets in the plan output:  MDS entry date in ASCP plan is pushed forward by one week on a Sunday when bucket type changes from Days to Weekly. Example:

Screenshots shows forecast MDS in source due 01-JUL-2013 qty = 4 for an item

ASCP plan demand entry shows a date of 07-Jul-2013 pushing the date by 6 days forward from its source entry on a sunday

It appears this happens when aggregation in the plan options changes from days to weekly buckets. Screenshot shows plan options aggregation = 180 days/150 weeks/10 periods
Start of plan 02-JAN-2013
Weekly buckets start 01-JUL-2013
Period buckets start 23-MAY-2016

Expectation
=======
Expect the demand date to remain the same in the weekly and period buckets
