Tasks Are Getting Completed Even After Custom Validation Error

Symptoms
Tasks getting completed even after user recieves an error from the custom validation procedure SP_WM_CUSTOM_VALIDATION .
Suppose , a user gets a custom error thrown from the stored proc SP_WM_CUSTOM_VALIDATION while completing a task . The user hits OK and close the error .When the user completes the same task again then the task gets complete. OR if the user htis Cancel button while completing the task the second time then also the ask completes .
The issue is reported in 6.2.1 stream .The issue was not there in MSS 6.0.15 stream .
