Last updated on AUGUST 17, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 13.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Department, Class or Subclassis added to the hierarchy. A record is not added to DOMAIN_DEPT, DOMAIN_CLASS or DOMAIN_SUBCLASS tables. So when adding any item under this Department, Class or Subclass it can't be selected as forecastable item.

There is no way to update domain_subclass table through the front-end by the business users.

Manual update of the domain_subclass is still needed to done in the backend however, business users do not have access in the backend. As a result, there still needs an additional process to be done by the IT team first before the users can set an item as forecastable.

Steps tp reproduce:

1. Create a New Department.
2. Create a Class under Department created in step 1
3. Create a Subclass under the Class created in step 2
4. Create a new Item with Department, Class & Subclass created in above  steps
5. In itemmaster form, check the forecastable indicator.
Notice that message pops out indicating item's department must be assocaited  to a forecast domain.
