Firm Planned Orders Are Lost When Overwrite Option Set To NONE (Doc ID 1530891.1)

Last updated on JUNE 28, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.1.3 to 12.1.3.8 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

MPS (production)  plan with overwrite - None does not retain the firm planned orders

STEPS
--------
Run MPS plan
Create new planned orders for items.
Run plan again, FPO's are gone.

NOTES - WORKAROUND:

  1. If item is MRP planned and you run an MRP plan, then this works correctly
  2. If you setup items as MPP/MPS planned and run a Master Plan (MPP) then this works correctly
  3. The problem only exists if item is setup as MPS planned and you use MPS plan only... so using MPP/MPS planned items is viable workaround.
