Restrict Keep Alive Port Range Using Huawei NMS (Doc ID 1532022.1)

Last updated on JUNE 12, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Integrity - Version 7.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Oracle Communications Network Integrity (OSS) is in use to discover network details from a Huawei NMS (Network Management System). The NMS pings back to the OSS at regular intervals as a keep alive mechanism. The ping is taking place over a range of ports, making provisioning with existing firewall infrastructure challenging. Is it possible for Network Integrity to instruct the NMS to restrict the pings to a provisionable port range?
