Symptoms
With Design Studio 3.1.3., the data dictionary entries with characters sizes up to 9999 (unbounded) could be created. However, in Design Studio 3.1.4, the limitation was decreased to 1000 characters. Some customers have experienced upgrade problems because they have data dictionary entries that exceed 1000 characters.
This knowledge article addresses the following:
- Why the 1000 character data dictionary entry limit was added in the Design Studio 3.1.4 release.
- Why the OSM server has never supported more than a 1000 character data entries even though previous versions of Design Studio allowed it.
- What OSM features you can use for data entries with character lengths greater than 1000.
