Last updated on SEPTEMBER 09, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Knowledge - Version 8.5 and later
Generic UNIX

Goal

As part of a Web Logic installation, a startManagedWebLogic.sh script is provided for starting Managed WebLogic instances. Typically this script will be located at <Middleware Home>/user_projects/domains/<My Domain>/bin. This script cannot be used to successfully start the Managed WebLogic instance within which an Oracle Knowledge Search component (Scheduler or Runtime) is deployed. This article explains how to create a startManagedWebLogic.sh script that can be used successfully.

Note: This article provides a solution for Unix environments. A similar approach could be used for Windows platforms.
