Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

There is a different behavior in the case of insufficient credit to rate the first second on a telephony event.
It depends on whether there is a discount associated or not.

While rating an event which doesn't have a discount involved in pricing configuration the following is observed:
In op_rate_and_discount_event return flist you can see the following:

0 PIN_FLD_NET_QUANTITY DECIMAL [0] 264
0 PIN_FLD_UNRATED_QUANTITY DECIMAL [0] 263.73167329
0 PIN_FLD_BAL_IMPACTS   ARRAY [0] allocated 20, used 16
1     PIN_FLD_QUANTITY     DECIMAL [0] 0.26832671
1     PIN_FLD_AMOUNT       DECIMAL [0] 0.0500

i.e. it rates even less than 1 sec

But when discount is involved the following is observed:

0 PIN_FLD_NET_QUANTITY DECIMAL [0] 264
0 PIN_FLD_UNRATED_QUANTITY DECIMAL [0] 264

It’s not possible to rate less than one second and couldn’t apply the available credit.

In both the scenarios the credit limit is set to 0.
