Custom Extension For Selecting Dedicated Plant - Enhancement Request

For some business scenarios, the current, out-of-the-box logic used to determine the appropriate Dedicated Plant for auto-assignment (via the AUTODSGN and PCONDES System tasks) will not meet the business requirements for the service(s) being provisioned. For example, the core logic does not maintain the “last service date” for a Dedicated Plant, which represents the last time the Dedicated Plant was used to support a customer service such as DSL or POTS. To prioritize the selection of Dedicated Plant based upon a custom “last service date” column, and to meet any other customer-specific business requirements, which may change or expand over time, MSS must provide a mechanism for each customer to develop their own logic to determine the most appropriate Dedicated Plant assignment for these services.
