Pinpad Locks Up and Stops Communicating with the Register When a Card is Swiped Again when Blue Lights are Still Enabled on the Pinpad (Doc ID 1547381.1)

Symptoms

Pinpad locks up and stops communicating with the register when a card is swiped again when blue lights are still enabled on the pinpad; following error is reported in the client orpos.log file:

Steps to reproduce:

1. Ring items
2. (F6) Tender
3. (F4) Credit; notice blue lights on pinpad and the pinpad says 'please swipe card'
4. Swipe credit card through the pinpad
5  The pinpad still displays 'please swipe card'; notice the blue lights are not enabled but will be enabled for a few seconds 'when authorizing...' is showing on register and totals are showing on pinpad.  While the blue lights are enabled, swipe the card again.  The register says 'ask the customer to sign on the signature pad and press Next when signature is complete'; the pinpad says 'Please sign in Box'
6. Sign the pinpad and press Done. During this flow, the error (mentined above) is reported in the client log file.
