Deleting Outdated Leave Records To Correct "Leave period cannot overlap active Shifts" When Trying To Edit a Crew In The Admin Tool (Doc ID 1549104.1)

Symptoms

When a user tries to modify the crew from the Admin tool the following dialog is displayed and changes cannot be made:

"Leave period cannot overlap active Shifts"

The affected crew has two Leave entries that are a year old and no longer active.  How can this conflict be corrected so the crew can be edited?
