DAP Adds the Default Port Number at the End of the URL, not after the Hostname (Doc ID 1551058.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.0.0 to 5.0.0 [Release 4.0.0 to 5.0]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control exhibits an issue on all versions before 5.0.1.0.

In the Data Access Pack (DAP) Service Management Screens (SMS screens), when not specifying a port in the destination URL (Uniform Resource Locator) field, the port is then assigned a default value (e.g. 80 for standard http (Hypertext Transfer Protocol).

However, when doing so, the dapIF process will build incorrectly the URL when attempting to contact the remote Application Service Provider (ASP), adding the default port at the end of the URL, instead of after the hostname.  For example:

http://<HOSTNAME>/<PATH>:<PORT>

vs.

http://<HOSTNAME>:<PORT>/<PATH>

For further information regarding DAP or OCNCC, refer to OCNCC's documentation.

Changes

 Create a new ASP without specifying a port in the following SMS Screen :

Services -> DAP -> Resources -> ASP
