Running Huge BOM Comparison Report Causing Agile Application Server to Hang With Stuck Thread (Doc ID 1552056.1)

Symptoms

Agile Application Server hangs and users are unable to login to Agile.
See below errors in Agile Application Server log:

Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Web Client, and go to Standard Reports > Product Reports > BOM Comparison Report, and Execute
2. Select Layout, and Next
3. Select the number for Compare Level, and Next
4. Select Item with huge number of BOM items, and Finish
