Email Alerts and Email Functionality Has Stopped Working After Changing SMTP Host (Doc ID 1554599.1)

Goal

We have changed our SMTP host.  Since then all Email alerts and Email related functionality has stopped working.


Steps to Reproduce:

1. We installed our SIM application with blank field for "SIM Mail SMTP Host" parameter during SIM installation.  Still we received email alerts on different events defined in SIM.
2. Now our organization's SMTP host has been changed, and SIM email alert functionality has ceased.
3. As per the installation documentation, we have checked for mail.cfg which is not present on SIM server.  (See the SIM 13.2 Installation Guide, Appendix: SIM Application Installer Screens )
