(Doc ID 1556975.1)

Last updated on MARCH 09, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 13.2.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

NOTE: The behavior described in this note is observed in SIM versions 13.2.X, 14.0.X and 14.1.X. This note provides solutions for all versions. Please apply the correct solution, based on the SIM version being used.

When importing data into Store Inventory Management (SIM) using data seeding scripts, Non-Inventory items are created with with ITEM_TYPE as "0 - Item". Non-Inventory items must have ITEM_TYPE as "12 - Non Inventory".

Steps to Reproduce:1. Run data seeding scripts.
2. Check the following SIM tables and notice that for Non-Inventory items, the item type is wrongly updated as follows:
    a. SIM 13.2.X: AS_ITM.ITEM_TYPE = 0
    b. SIM 14.0.X: STORE_ITEM.ITEM_TYPE = 0
    c. SIM 14.1.X: STORE_ITEM.ITEM_TYPE = 0
